Seagulls Guesthouse in Mount Maunganui is a quiet, tidy and well maintained place to stay. The common room areas are well equiped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The location is great for those engaged in sport, with the Bay Oval nearby. Definitely recommend for those looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay.

I had a really good stay here. Right in the centre of Mount Maunganui itself, so everything is easily walkable. Free WiFi, rooms well equipped. It was nice surprise to find each room has its own heat pump that is extremely good at heating and cooling. There is electric locks that you can type your code in or use your mobile phone.
It is nice to know Paul takes pride in his business and also take guests safety very very seriously.

Great location if your staying in the Mount, we only stay 1 night and got the room with a private bathroom, was clean and just what we needed, nice and quiet area too

Room was definitely a little on the small side, though clean. Shared bathroom was also alright, but I would prefer a private bathroom. Location was great

My daughter and I stayed with a 2year old. The premises were spotless and tastefully decorated. It's a great setup. Although the sleeping space was small, the shared lounge and kitchen were spacious with plenty of appliances, cutlery, pots, plates etc. The laundry operates on $1 and $2 coins. There are a few toilets and showers, some with hairdriers. There are books, games and DVDs available for loan. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A fine choice. Compact bedrooms and spacious common lounge, decks and kitchen, all well-appointed and clean as. Seagulls offers an efficient automated registration & checkin system, and keyless coded access, besides amiable human proprietors and staff, all readily approachable.

Amazing place to stay. I’ve stayed quite a few times in the past and is absolutely wonderful.
The service is amazing and fast contact if anything was wrong. Great location super handy to buses and about a 15 minute walk to the Main Street of the Mount. Rooms are super cozy with comfortable beds and facilities are great. Prices are great
Overall best place to stay at the mount by far I’ve stayed at a couple of others but my favourite will always be seagulls guesthouse

Cheap and cheerful sums Seagulls up well. Nice shared living room and kitchen, comfy bed (I had a great sleep). They had music playing during the daylight hours - great playlist!

Great location, cheapest accommation in the mount. Manager is friendly. Clean and tidy. No bed bugs! It is basic accommation where you just have a small room and the facilities are shared. Although you can upgrade to a room with a toilet and shower. I like the communal lounge and kitchen as it gives you opportunity to socialize with other guests. I will stay here again. Cheers!

Stayed there over the past ANZAC weekend with my partner. Decent comfortable place at a great rate, has a decent living room area aswell as a good equipped kitchen, the stove could need a bit of attention as the oven doesn’t really heat that well. Otherwise totally fine for cooking a quick meal on a trip. It’s nearby to Busroutes and the City Centre, you do hear occasionally a train honking at night and / or a boat, but not a big deal really as everything else is quiet, the place was very clean and kept tidy. The host is very friendly Kiwiguy aswell and we had a good yarn with information about the area. There is also a few carparks at the premises.

Stayed here for a week end of 2021, absolutely loved it. Very peaceful, very calm environment and great facilities. Large open shared kitchen with everything you'd need to make meals. Large shared lounge room and dining area. Lots of outdoor seating. Stones throw from The Mount. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay! Very clean, great shared spaces, super organised and lovely friendly staff. We stayed in the Family Room with our 2 boys and the air con at the end of a hot day at the beach was fantastic! Will definitely be staying again.

Clean, well organized, equipped kitchen, comfy beds, cosy lounge, shelfs with books and board games, etc.
It's not far from the beach and the mount.
Few bars and restaurants on the corner and McDonald's as well.

Nice place, plenty of space around the place AND extremely clean. Good pricing. Some rooms have their own toilet and bathroom but the others have access to shared bathrooms and toilets. No TV in either roon we got but again, the price for the rooms is reflected in that. Would highly recommend for anyone to use this place. I'll definitely be coming back at another time!

Very comfortable and clean, away from main street so quiet. Large shared kitchen, dining and lounge, Only down is no drawers/closet for clothes. Nice walk to the Mount and beach.

One of the cleanest places I’ve stayed! Lovey friendly staff and fantastic showers and comfortable beds, very warm and cosy on all levels and did I mention it was extremely clean?! Not the most ‘instagramable’ place, but hands down the best backpackers I’ve stayed in, thanks Seagulls!

Wonderful place! We just stayed one night on our way to the airport. This place is spacious, sparkling clean, big kitchen, awesome showers /washrooms and nice staff. We had a very nice twin beds private bedroom with a sink. Worth every single dollar you pay for it - we totally recommend it!

Very lovely owners, the rooms were please t and suited our needs perfectly. Only thing I would have to say is aircon in the rooms would be nice, but it was exceptionally hot during my stay here so that probably didn't help! Staff offered me a map of the area upon arrival and gave a tour of the premises. Nice walk to the beach, coffee and other cafes within a couple hundred metres. Great place to stay

This hostel is absolutely excellent. Bathrooms and Kitchen are great.

Very clean, tidy and quiet. Bedrooms have great heaters for cold nights. Definitely coming back for a 3rd stay soon. Owners are nice. Very good prices. Lovely lounge and common areas to kick back and relax after a short walk to the main street.

Clean, quiet, well positioned for those attending events at Bay Oval. A wee bit out of Mt Maunga nui proper. Some cafes nearby. Supermarket a good walk away. Kitchen well eqipped and common areas well maintained and clean. Off street parking. Good value.

I Stayed hear just one night and loved it. The house is welcoming and very clean and well presented, the bedrooms are a good size and are clean with fresh linen on the beds. The showers are amazing with great water pressure.
It is nice and quiet and in a residential setting.
The owners are really nice and live on site. I could fault this place at all even the price was very reasonable.
Will definitely stay hear again on my next visit.

Would recommend to anyone. It is very clean, the hosts are nice and will help you if you need anything. The place is for anyone who loves a calm hostel. I honestly cannot find anything to complain about. All in all, 10/10 I would stay here again if I happen to visit Tauranga again.

Awesome place to stay. Paul was super helpful and friendly. The place was immaculate with a nice big kitchen. Mostly private rooms, but they do have one small dorm room if you're lucky and it's not already booked up. One of my fave places I've stayed in NZ.

Very handy location. Rooms were a bit small, but very clean, warm & quiet. There's a nice TV room & lounge, didn't check out the kitchen. Plenty of on street parking.

Nice guest house in Mt Maunganui. Very good and helpful hosts. The room sizes are okay. Very clean rooms, toilets and linens. Also it is quite and good for families. That may be one off but the shower was giving hot and sometimes passing cold water during my shower.
Overall experience is very good.

Very nice place to stay. Ideal for sports teams. Across the road from a big park which was ideal. Plenty of parking on the street so long as there wasn't an event on. The wi-fi worked very well. Good kitchen facilities. Definitely recommend it to you if you are looking for affordable accommodation in Tauranga.

Friendly staff. Very clean and well presented. Small and cosy room with bunk bed - double bed at the bottom and single at the top for the kid. Very clean common /shared shower and toilet.

Lovely guest house. Lots of space to sit quietly and enjoy. Comfortable lounging areas. Great kitchen and dining area for guests to prepare and eat food. Small rooms but very sharp pricing. Enthusiast friendly staff. Very well kept. Clean and tidy. Highly recommended.
